How much does a short sale cost?
We don't charge our clients any fees to do a short sale. Our compensation is paid through the HUD at the close of escrow when the buyer purchases our clients property in a short sale.

- Never hire anyone who charges an up-front fee
Warning
Be cautious about hiring anyone - a Realtor, company, or law firm - who wants to charge upfront fees to do a short sale. A skilled attorney and Realtor find ways of not charging the seller a dime since they are already in a tough financial situation. If a company is paid in advance, there is very little motivation to work hard for the client.
*Not all Realtors and attorneys offer this service free of charge. Fitzpatrick & Prince is one of the few real estate firms to offer both real estate services and attorney representation at no cost to the seller.
